I've used and abused this pack for almost year now, for everyday photography, dayhikes, camping, international travel and more. In the middle of summer, autumn showers or proper Canadian winters it has kept my gear safe. I'm out and about 2-3 days every week and don't treat this bag with care, often throwing it on the ground (any ground) and shuffling it along with my feet to get it out of the way of people passing by. It just holds up, despite how shitty I treat it. I'm impressed how well it's held up with the massive weight I pack quite often; double fullframe mirrorless systems with 4-5 heavy glass lenses (70-200 f/2.8, 100-400, ...), double or tripple tripods, tripple-axis timelapse gear and tracks. If your back can handle the load and you can fit it, this bag can carry the weight. For all the straps, pockets, and gimmicks check the Peak Design videos. Depending on personal preference you may find some of them useful, but I doubt you'll miss something crucial. My only gripe is missing top-access to the main compartment for easy access to my camera, but that's looking for flaws and by no means take away from a solid design and build. Tried and trusted.
This company is definitely one of my top 3. Their attention to detail blows my mind. This backpack is all I could want and more. Cough up the money, you won't regret.
Got this travel backpack after seeing on internet. Had Samsonite, Everki...etc. ones but the Peak Design travel backpack can compress smaller to 35L or expand to 45L. The side pockets can take a 750ml water bottle,tripods...etc. Laptop compartment takes my 14 inch Lenovo laptop. The hide away back pack and waist straps great when you want to minimise loose straps and carry bag on top handle and don't need others. External straps for more bulky items. Got the other accessories like clothes and camera packing cubes, shoe pouch...etc. and work well with this bag.
It is Huge but it is also a great bag for travel with all gears in

It is a really great backpack for travel. I have all PD bags like sling 5L, 10L, Everyday backpack 20&30L. I use these bag for hike, walk or work, so they have different uses. I have traveled to Japan in Jan before COVID and I found 30L is no long fit all my new gear in. Thus, I did some reviews on other brands as well as my favour brand Peak Design. I decided to get one more collection from PD with its medium cube. It FIT all my gear with all square filters as well as all my cameras. In my opinion, the shoulder straps are more comfortable than my 30L when fully loaded. The anti-thief system also make me feel safe when I am walking on street.
I have tried many backpacks and this is the best and it's not even close. Very versatile. From everyday use to traveling anywhere in the world. It can carry almost anything. Every inch of the bag is carefully thought out. And Peak Design has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE in the whole universe.
As you may know you have many options to setup your travel backpack with camera cubes and packing cubes, or non at all if that's how you want to go love this backpack!!!
