Almost Perfect

I purchased this bag for some upcoming travel and since I work remote, I always have my computer. But I also wanted a bag for everyday life. I love that this is expandable making it perfect for longer travel. Plus you can keep it smaller for everyday when you just need to take your work supplies to a local coffee shop. Or even back the bag for a day at the beach. So far i'm really impressed with the quality of everything. Stitching seems excellent, handles are sturdy, and lot's of organizational compartments.
My big complaints so far are: the water bottle/ side pockets are useless. They don't expand enough to hold a water bottle when the bag is packed. Giving it a little more stretch would be a HUGE upgrade. I also would like if there was a front mesh pocket. I feel like you always a random item you need quick access to but don't want to carry it. For me, a front mesh pocket would solve that.

Best Travel Bag

I bought this bag 2 weeks ago and have already used it more than 4 times just because of my frequent flying. The bag packs so much and fits so nicely under the seat with enough leg room to stretch my legs all the way. Probably my most favorite purchase of the year.

Good backpack for travel

This is a good backpack for travel and commuting. The backpack is expandable so it gives a high degree of flexibility. The build quality is decent compared to other backpack at this price range. The zipper, while not YKK branded as suggested by many review, seems to be solid built, time will tell whether it holds up.
There is very little compartment inside the bag so it may require additional smaller cases/containers inside this bag to provide the organization. I also noticed the DWR on this bag at purchase time does not bead water like most other DWR treated items. It does offer a little bit of beading but certainly not like other items I have. Required a single treatment with DWR spray (such as the Atkso Permanent) and then it's very water resistant.
Overall happy with the purchase despite the hefty price of this bag.

On a recent trip to SF, I picked up as an impulse purchase the City Edition of this travel backpack and I'm really glad I did. The City Edition is made of XPAC so it's a little different than the standard version, but the structure of the bag is the same. Good room for a medium and small packing cube with room still for a show pouch, toiletries bag, or even a Tech Pouch as well. The bag is sturdy but comfortable and the little extras (top exterior pocket, magnetic back panels to hide the shoulder straps) outweigh the few cons (no side access, small water bottle pockets) - I don't think the design of the bag is really suited for being an EDC but if you do the multiple pouch thing, then maybe you could make it work.
Plenty of room for a single person to carry enough for a 3 day trip pretty easily, or even 2 folks for an overnight or other short term trip if you're a light packer. The black camo color way sealed the deal for me and I'm looking forward to many more years of use out of this bag. Peak got this one right.

Such a great product

Owned for 6 months and amazed by the quality. Very well built, and so considered all around. The only thing that i think could be improved is to better leverage the pouch for straps. It's cool, but it could be built upon to be more than a void for straps.

1st trip, no complants

I just got back from a trip to the Mediterranean that involved multiple connecting flights ending up on a cruise ship for two weeks. I was able to pack everything I needed in this bag and a roller bag. No complaints, everything had a place and all the airlines accepted it as my personal item.

Best of both worlds

I purchased this to fill multiple needs and it’s been excellent for all of them. It almost fits under an airplane seat as a personal item (if the gate agents let it slide), it’s good as a slightly bigger day pack with camera gear and to make use of camera clips and other items, and it can be expanded to fit a little more and use over a weekend. Only thing I wish was adjusted were the little pockets inside the backpack. They can be hard to access if you’ve got stuff packed in there or even if a camera cube is blocking them.
I would recommend this to a friend!
