Overall well made and very happy with the pack great product! One small issue is the expansion snaps are kind of useless. They dont stay snapped i have two of these packs and both have the same issue. They are alwsys unsnapped.
I think I would do 4.5 stars if I could. I honestly haven't had a chance to actually use it yet but just try to learn all the ins-and-outs but so far looks pretty amazing. My main concern is the weight. I was changing from another bag because the weight just did not sit comfortably on my shoulders/hips, and I knew this one was heavier (with the cubes at least. I can't remember exact numbers now but definitely with the cubes) but really hoping the distribution works better. Still would like straps that sort of come in more at the top of the chest, and have pockets on the chest/waist strap for easy stuff like a phone or storing lens caps, snacks. Love the Peak Design philosophy and quality. Just want to design it a little different. Hire me! :)
I just bought this bag after I bought a new camera and a couple lenses. My old sling bag was just not doing it for my go to camera bag. With this 30L bag I have room for my camera, lenses and plenty of items I want to bring. I love how easy it is to get into the bag. It feels so comfortable wearing it and I feel like my camera is secure. I really feel this will be the last bag I ever need to buy.
Love the 30-35-45L modification options, as always the design and features are logical, smart and practical. It’s clear there’s been genuine intention to create something practical and executed with care. Is it perfect? I’d still like a way to access the bag from the top as well so with that it’s 99% at this point.
Used it a couple of times. Lots of possibilities and configurations that are useful depending on the context. The demo video helps a lot to familiarize. Have used all but the side access. Perfect for a trip of a few days. Cons: in order to access the 2 sides of storage, you need to flip the bag and make sure you've closed the other side. It's a bit of an exercise... And all the versatility comes at a price: the overall internal storage is a bit smaller than what you could you expect from the outside volume.
I bought this a few years ago for a 2 week trip to Italy. Awesome bag that works great! Love that it can expand or contract depending on the duration of my trip!
One of my all time favorite pieces of gear. It's extremely versatile. I've used it on weekend trips, as well as month long international trips. The backpack held up great over 5+ years of heavy use. I finally had an issue with a zipper, filed a warranty claim, and PD sent a new bag right away. Incredible product and company.

I love this backpack built like a tank. My first major issue is the side water bottles pockets are too tight and small. I ended up dropping and loosing my 32oz nalgene water bottle. The water bottle pockets need to be larger and deeper. My second Issue is the bottom pouch that uses magnets, peak design needs to add a zipper instead. My third is just a more of a modification. That said, I would love for the small top pocket to be deeper. Over all I would recommend this to my friends and family. Peak design fix these issues and you will have a customer for life.
