The opening side panels are very convenient and the expandable features make it easy to repack with souvenirs. Comfortable to wear.

Have been using this bag for a couple years now. A go to for my photography day trips. Holds my gopros, RED batteries, 100-400 lens, extenders, a camera body and accessories. Great size and comfortable on the back. Highly recommend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

In dire need of an update

I bought a 20L Everyday Backpack (V2), which for the most part, I'm super happy with it. I figured that this would be of similar quality, both in features and in materials, and while the materials are like always top notch, the features I found weren't very useful a lot of the time:
For one thing, there's the grab handles on nearly every side of the bag. great feature, but the lack of padding on what should be the most used handles (sides and front) make it really difficult and uncomfortable to hold. the straps are stiff, wide, and almost cut into your hand when you hold it via these three handles. I can understand why the bottom handle is unpadded, but the other three just doesn't make sense.
The top handle is padded, which is nice, but not to the same level of the Everyday Bag, and the shoulder straps aren't padded nearly as much as they should be.
What's probably my biggest gripe, however, is the laptop/tablet compartment. enough space to easily fit any laptop, but for the tablet compartment, you don't get to fit anything larger then an 11" iPad Pro, which even that is a struggle. Its held together with velcro, which just feels cheap when compared to the magnet/zipper combo on the Everyday bags.
That's another thing worth mentioning, the zipper and magnet situation just doesn't feel as nice as the Everyday line either, which considering the price, is a little disappointing. The Bottle holders, while generally staying flush with the bag, don't have that satisfying click that the magnets give, and there are often zippers or velcro where magnets could and should be.
The zipper pulls also don't have that same level of quality or comfort, and the side access flaps aren't nearly as useful as packing tools take up most of the bag space, and they don't have any pockets on the flap like the Everyday Backpack does.
Maybe I'm being picky here, but even the tether points don't have that same level of satisfying resistance. They still click, but not as tightly as the Everyday V2 series bags.
Overall I guess the general issue here is that it still feels like a V1 product, which in fairness, it is. The bag just feels like its greatly in need of an update, and for that reason alone I just can't justify the crazy high price tag that it commands. If a V2 travel line comes out I'd be eager to give it a fresh shot, as I have a good feeling that Peak Design will nail it

Brilliant Bag - Solid Two Thumbs Up!

I just took this bag on a 5 day holiday and it was perfect. For the first time my stuff was well organised. The side pocket under the bottle holder pouch was perfect for quick easy access to my passport at the airport. Bag fit easily in the over-head compartment on the plane. Once I was at the hotel it was nice to be able to tidy the straps away for tidy access to the main body of the bag. Love it, I'm now converted to one bag travelling and can't wait to take it on another trip soon.

Best Travel Companion Ever

I originally bought this backpack to travel around overseas with. Unfortunately I haven't gotten that far just yet, however using only the medium camera cube in this pack I happily managed to pack in my sleeping bag, food for two days and additional equipment like a PLB in for my overnight hike. It's exceeded my expectations with durability and I love the modularity of cube that you buy along with this. Highly recommend for anyone after a camera backpack for travelling or even overnight hikes!

Good Bag Not Without its Problems
on April 13, 2022

Overall I like this bag. Like most all peak design products it is made well, the zippers are great, the stitching is nearly flawless, organization is ok.
- Design
I have the sage color, its great. its a very subtle green color and it looks wonderful. There is only one zippered pockets on the outside that is easily accessible. There are 2 more on the sides of the pockets on either side, but if there is something in the pockets the zippered ones are very hard to access.
I am not usually one to use clamshells but it works very well especially since you have other ways to access the inside.
(side note it claims a 15" MacBook Pro, but I can put my 2021 16" in the sleeve with a 12.9" iPad Pro and they both fit just fine.
- Organization
its ok. There are a lot of pockets inside, but its all mostly just loose pockets.
There is actually much less space than I expected inside. In the main compartment there is a divider that is a full zip around the edge that expands between the main and secondary compartments. Unless you unzip that, you don't really get much space. But if you do open it, then you lose out on the smaller compartment that has better organization.
The buttons to collapse the main section can sometimes be very difficult to snap.
I really wish the outside of the bag had some MOLLE on it.
- Durability
As always its good. The zippers are strong, the material is thick. It will last a long time.
The straps are very durable and should hold up for a long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
