I bought this about eight months ago and as I need to travel often this backpack has been my favourite travel friend. I wish everyone had one of these because not only would it make security checks faster but it’s also nice to pack, live from and unpack when you get back home. The organization, pockets and multiple zipper access are great for storing big and smaller items. The whole thing is comfortable to carry and because of the small security measures on the zippers, I also feel safe to walk around with it. After using the bag for eight months there are no scratches or any signs of wear and tear. While the product is expensive, I can definitely see why. I think it has been a great investment!
Like frodo could almost not destroy the ring, I could never leave this back alone. Has got all the features I need for most of my travels. I take it on weekend trips but also on a 4 months trip through India & Nepal.
I have only had a chance to use this a number of times for travel, but I can tell that this will be a forever staple in my future travel. I love the features and it is so intuitive. It is also surprisingly comfortable to carry. I have the sage, but I am tempted to get the black too (one for me and my husband).
I bought the pack about 2 years ago and used throuaot this time. I used it for weekend trips, but also for business travel for a week overseas including packing a business suit. The features are just great and it is just perfekt to carry your stuff on your shoulders. It is very comfortable and looks great. Have a look at the many videos about this product to gett the idea ow to pack it and travel the world.
Very Good: . Excellent, high-quality materials and zippers . Great durability . works perfectly with PD pouches . astonishing beautiful bag . Tuck in system works like magic
But not great . the bag is heavy . I always get worried that my laptop could be squeezed when packing a full load . lack of compartments, you have to tuck the middle compartments to gain more space for trips more than 3-4 days . the chest strap is so losable that I lost it in my first week . pricy in my opinion . i worry that the straps will shred if rub a velcro or rough surface. I think it probably will.
Lots of great features. Some of the downsides are that there isn't enough belt adjustment for myself so I cannot use it at all, the shoulder pads are a bit hard and a bit narrow on a bag that is able to hold 45L, and the sides zippers can be harder to open and close ( not sure if this needs to be broken in or not)
I have had this backpack for almost a year and have brought it on trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, and all over the US so far. The backpack has held up great through visits to the beach, walks in the drizzle, bumpy bus rides, long walks around cities and everything in between. I love the safe computer case for bringing my laptop with me and the hip and shoulder straps make it easy to adjust the carrying style to the weight and length of the walk. Before buying I had read some concerns about the zipper durability but have experienced no issues on this front, and the main zippers still glide as smooth as they did when brand new. I did lose the two very handy external carry-straps at the airport, and wish there was a more secure way to hold these to the bag, but it was easy to replace them through the PeakDesign website. Sometimes the location of the main opening vs the front pouch can make it a little awkward to access items without flipping the bag over, but I believe this would happen with any suitcase style opening backpack. Size-wise, the backpack is excellent. I have more than enough space inside for what I need, and plenty of options to ties onto the outside if needed (fishing rod, ukelele, jackets, wet clothes, dirty soccer cleats, etc.). All in all, very happy with the backpack. I recommend it to each of my friends looking for a single travel bag
Bought this 3 years ago and have travelled a lot with it all over the world. Perfect for carry-on if its not stuffed all the way, also great for camping and attaching gear outside. Really good organization inside. I only wish the carry system would be a bit better / more comfortable
