Perfect for my Needs

I backed the Outdoor 25L on Kickstarter as a daypack for hiking with my camera gear. Until now, I had always been searching for the perfect outdoor camera backpack. I had tried specialized hiking backpacks like Deuter with inserts or F-Stop backpacks, but I was never truly happy with them. Hiking backpacks were comfortable but impractical when it came to accessing camera equipment. Camera backpacks, on the other hand, provided great access to gear but were not comfortable to wear.
All of that completely changed with the PD Outdoor 25L. I have never had such comfortable shoulder straps before. I’m 187 cm (6'2'') tall, and despite its small size, the backpack fits me perfectly. Since I was so impressed, I wanted to try the 45L version as well. I quickly tried it on at a nearby camera store—and I was in love.
The 45L backpack, with its frame and adjustable shoulder straps, fits even better. I couldn’t resist and bought it right away. An additional bonus: I can remove the hip belt from the 45L backpack and attach it to the 25L.
I'm really looking forward to putting the 45L through a serious stress test during a trip to Iceland this summer and seeing how it performs with continuous use. The 45L will definitely replace my F-Stop Tilopa Dura Diamond, which always felt way too stiff in the shoulder and hip straps and was also about 500g (1.1 lbs) heavier.
So, if anyone is looking for a Tilopa, just let me know—I'd be willing to sell it for a good price =D

I bought this backpack one month ago.
I tested it during few days. It's full of very smart features, solid and very versatile.
I'm an outdoor photographer and I must admit it fits very well my expectations. With it I can carry lot of gear in very good conditions. It's my preferred Backpack as of now.

Almost perfect for what I need it for!

I purchase the 25l specifically for shooting Ultramarathons where I need to move a lot through 200 mile races.
Pros:
- Bear spray fits in the strap chest pocket
- Light and narrow, my elbows do not hit the bag while moving or running
- Don't need to take off bag to shoot in awkward positions
- Moves well with the body
- Starlink Mini fits in the front flex pocket
- The 2l sling on the chest is perfect for batteries, SD cards, ETC
- Quiet, it has no squeaks unlike my other camera bags.
Cons:
- I wish there were size options for the pack straps, 2-3" longer would be amazing to get the pockets lower on people with thicker chests
- Roll top doesn't look like it will do the best for keeping water out.
- The straps on the back panel which have the zipper carrying the weight, the 45l doesn't. Time will tell durability, but if a zipper fails the bag will fall open while on your back.
These are my first impressions after 2 weeks, will be going on assignment in 3 weeks to really put it through its paces.

Hook of breast strap is hard to hook into loop
on January 23, 2025

Almost perfect but I miss an opportunity to grab my bottle when I carry the backpack on my shoulder. Osprey is doing this very well. Another think which drives me crazy is the buckle of the breast strap. It's so hard to click into the loops on the other side. I wish it would be magnetic.

Say Whiskey! Being my own photographer has its challenges; it means I have to carry my camera gear everywhere, but boy this backpack, the Camera Cue v2 in Smedium, the Travel Tripod, and the Capture v3 Plate sure have made the job much easier. I decided to give Peak Design a try and I'm loving it so far. I can keep everything safe and organized in this Outdoor Backpack (25L). Products are incredibly high quality and the designs are just *cheff's kiss*. I highly recommend it! This will be my go to brand for camera equipment from now on.

Love PeakDesign but this is very disappointed.

Very gimmicky with poor design and space. I have countless PD products and love them. This is junk in my opinion. Not great space and too many gimmicks/pockets/cords. Way over thought for what you need. I got the 25L but really my Lowepro Protactic 450AW (25L) holds more including my 16 inch MacBook Pro and it's cheeper. This bag is way over priced for what it is. Again I am a huge fan of PeakDesign products, but this one will be given to the disabled vets. Save your money.

I was looking for an everyday backpack that can hold my hobbies and work stuff. The 45L is perfect, I can easily travel with it. I got the black one, and the 2L Pouch. It was recommended to me via r/onebag. This bah have a premium price, but for now it seems worth it.
