have had classic PD photo backpack for years and love- was looking for a lighter adventure bag- hikes, trail runs, biking that would cover all bases and clear out my closet full of “sort a good” bags… done. Thx.
This is my fourth Peak Design bag and it lives up to high quality and thought out design I've come to expect. I can see this being used for everything from family picnics to weekend trips or long hikes.
I use this bag as an everyday bag. It is lighter and a better carry than the everyday backpack zip I used previously. For the use I make of it, i.c. laptop-and-book-transport, I actually prefer the greater protection the everyday backpack offers and the better accessibility and "loadability". I am not too great a fan of the location of the zip on the outdoor backpack (or on the travel backpack, for that matter). They all are terrifically made, high quality and well thought through bags.
Je voulais un sac rando capable d'emporter mon matériel photo et tout le nécessaire pour la journée. Il est robuste et discret ce qui était très important pour moi.
I’ve used this backpack over several months, and sadly, I expected much better. Peak Design has accustomed us to beautiful, high-quality products, but this one feels like a breaking point. The bag is poorly thought out, both in terms of internal access and compartment functionality. You’re forced to purchase yet another cube, which is far from practical. The rear pocket isn’t perforated, causing water to pool, and as usual, all the essential accessories come at an extra cost.
This is an expensive bag right from the start, and it still requires significant additional investment to feel complete. It pains me to say this because I’ve always been a strong supporter of the brand — but this bag is a failure. I truly regret investing in it.
Perfect for the photographic adventurer... or travel adventurer inside..
I bought the 45L the 25L along with the hip bags to match. Both my GF and I love them. Hard wearing, look cool and they don't look too heavy when laden with photo gear and you're at the boarding gate worried that your back pack won't make it on.
