Amazing bag, but 2nd only to the Original

If this is your first Peak Design bag, it's an amazing bag. No doubt the changes from v1 are made towards longer lasting durability but it seems to have lost some key ergonomic designs that made the original Everyday Backpack amazing.
- The side openings no longer fan out flatly
- The top laptop zip is now curved making unzipping for top access harder
- Laptop access and hidden pouches are much smaller
- Shoulder straps no longer have a loop to pull down on with your thumbs making it harder to strap the bag on

+ shoulder straps are now held on magnetically
+ inner side pouches are now only partially zipped making them more useful and accessible

Still I received this as a gift and love it a lot. I hope v3 addresses all the minor issues above

Bought this a month ago.
It really doesn’t fit well, fabric is too uncomfortable. And way way way overpriced for the the reality of the actual backpack itself. I think you pay for the name rather than anything else.

Disappointing Hype – Not Worth the Price

I was excited about this backpack after reading all the glowing reviews and seeing its sleek design, but after using it for a few weeks, I can’t recommend it to anyone.
Here’s why:
1. Poor Durability: The “weatherproof UltraZips” are anything but durable. One of the zippers started sticking and eventually broke after minimal use. Considering the price, I expected higher-quality hardware.
2. Uncomfortable Design: Despite the “award-winning” tag, the straps are poorly padded and awkwardly positioned. After wearing this for just an hour with a moderate load, my shoulders were sore.
3. MagLatch is Gimmicky: The MagLatch system sounded innovative, but in practice, it’s clunky and unreliable. It occasionally pops open if the bag is overfilled, which is incredibly frustrating when you’re on the go.
4. Not as Spacious as Claimed: The so-called “expansion” feature is misleading. Even with minimal gear, I struggled to fit basic items for an average day out. Definitely not practical for photography gear, as the description implies.
5. Overpriced: This bag feels more like an overhyped fashion accessory than a functional backpack. You’re paying for looks, not performance.
