[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recommend it for its 16" screen, fast processing, sufficient RAM/HD space, and plenty of wrist space to use the keyboard ergonomically. It also can be used as a tablet with touchscreen and a pen. I am writing this review about fifteen days after receiving the device, and within a week I encounter the disconnected Wi-Fi that could only be addressed by restarted the laptop to make the available networks visible. There is a known issue with the Wi-Fi (Realtec 8922-AE) card - the Wi-Fi networks would disappear when the laptop was not in use. I was getting ready to return the laptop for this major issue. Lenovo did a reset of the wifi card, and I did an additional step to disable the power saver mode for it. Hopefully Lenovo addresses the issue by an update.

Thankfully, Lenovo keeps the bloatware pretty minimal compared to other manufacturers, and this laptop has my favorite keyboard I've used (it has a pleasantly tactile clickiness to it). I love the added verticality of having a 16:10 ratio for the 16" screen. As a gamer who doesn't care about having the best graphics or framerate, the Integrated Graphics are amazing (AMD Radeon 860M). Combine that with the free RivaTuner Statistics Server for universally limiting framerate (I have everything limited to 30 fps), and I can play games like Doom Eternal (medium settings) and Elden Ring (mostly low settings). You'd probably need higher-end integrated graphics to play future AAA games, but for games released prior to 2025, you can definitely get by with this, depending on how particular/elite of a PC gamer you are. And as a gaming laptop, it is so nice to avoid the major heat and power inefficiencies of having a dedicated GPU in a laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous Lenovo abruptly died after 13 years of service (including lots of kids' sticky fingers and multiple drops onto wooden floors). I replaced it with an ideapad, and it has been working great so far. I mean, the comparison was 13 years old, but so far sound is better (crisper and louder), and the display is super sharp and vibrant. It has handled basic web browing and streaming well and works great for what I need it to do.

I will say it is a lot heavier then my old one but i'm getting use to it because it can handle and run SO much more. I defiantly recommend this computer for college students
