Sets up and connects effortlessly to the internet/email accounts as expected, great performance and long battery life. Lots of excellent tablet apps to go with it. It's a most pleasant experience you'll find from a sub-$500 tablet.

Worth the upgrade

This purchase was for my 82 year old mom, whose old iPad didn't have enough memory to support the apps she likes to use - mostly puzzles. She reports the new version is serving her well. Had Best Buy transfer all her data from the old model to the new for a fee of $50 - worth it. Looked around and Best Buy had the best price in post-Christmas sale period.

Yes big improvement on my old one. Very slippery, so try not to drop it before you get a case for it, ( unlike me who now has a chipped corner. Grrr.).

Exceeding expectations!

I have just graduated from an iPad 2 (2011) to iPad 7 (2019) and I feel like a kid at Christmas! After much debate I opted for space gray/black bezel and I made the right choice! The first improvement is weight - it’s so light!! And the screen size and quality of display is great. I was able to increase font size overall which works better for me! I read my digital newspaper (La Presse) and was taken aback by quality of images, colours etc. It is easy to set up (especially if you have other Apple products and just as user friendly if you don’t. Considering how much I paid for my old iPad (back in the day), it is excellent value for money!
