The Melitta Aroma Fresh™ Plus delivers such delicious, fresh-ground coffee that it’s genuinely spoiled me. The flavor is unparalleled, and I love having the grind-and-brew option for that fresh coffee experience every morning. However, there are a few quirks that could be improved:
1. **Timer and Settings:** My partner struggles to use it, and I understand why. The interface can be a bit finicky, especially when switching between grinding fresh beans and using pre-ground coffee. One major issue is how it handles water in the tank—it will use all the water you put in, regardless of the grind setting. For example, if you put in 10 cups of water but only select 2 cups’ worth of grounds, it will brew 10 cups of coffee with only 2 cups of grounds. I wish it allowed for smaller brews with more water stored in the tank for later use.
2. **Cleaning:** The stainless steel design is sleek but shows fingerprints easily. While it looks great, it does take a little extra effort to keep clean.
3. **Noise:** Grinding the coffee is pretty loud, especially in the morning. Personally, I don’t mind it because it motivates me to get out of bed, but it’s worth noting if you’re a light sleeper or have others in the house.
4. **Hot Plate Shut-Off:** The two-hour auto shut-off is frustrating for my schedule. I set the coffee to brew when my partner gets up for work, but by the time I’m up two hours later, it’s cooling down. I wish there were a way to extend the warming function.
5. **Carafe Concerns:** The glass carafe feels a bit thin, and I’m always nervous about breaking it. I’ve read other reviews mentioning difficulty in getting a replacement, though I haven’t confirmed this myself.
Despite these quirks, I am *so* impressed with this coffee maker. It has transformed my mornings with rich, flavorful coffee. If you’re a coffee lover who can handle a few idiosyncrasies, this is a fantastic investment for truly fresh, delicious coffee every day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you love coffee, you'll love this Melitta Aroma Fresh Plus Grind and Brew Coffee Maker. They had me at coffee grinder. I like the programmable brewing options that allow me to schedule exactly when I want it to make my coffee. I also like that I no longer have to look for my coffee grinder. The built-in burr grinder allows me to choose the consistency that I want my coffee beans ground every time. The two in one brewing option makes up to ten cups and allows me to brew pre ground or coffee beans. Every cup taste is very good, and the aroma fills the room is eye opening. There are many different brew strengths to choose from. This is the best coffee maker that I have owned thus far. The coffee stays hot for two hours. It is well built and easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I would like to say that I love having my grinder connected to my coffee maker. The only downside for me is that it is too tall to go under my cupboards. Everything else about this machine is so easy. You can literally add your breast beans in and not think about it. Accessing the water and the filters are a flip away. I love the options for different grind consistency and how much flavor comes in my coffee! If you're a big coffee person this is definitely for you!

The coffee always comes out delicious and well-balanced, with a smooth texture but just the right intensity. I love how easy it is to use—just fill the filter and in no time, I have a great cup of coffee. Plus, the design is compact and sleek, so it doesn't take up much space in the kitchen. Definitely a recommended purchase for anyone looking for quality at an affordable price.

Basic with Excellent Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this coffee maker is basic, but delivers very good results. It has 3 levels of boldness that you can choose from, and select from 2-4-6-8-10 cups of coffee that you can brew. Also, the grinder has about 28 stops, to grind the beans to a perfection. I personally found that setting between the medium to fine grind the best. As with any coffee maker with a built in grinder, it needs to be regularly cleaned but Melitta has designed this coffee maker to be easily cleaned. The only con for me, is that my upper kitchen cabinets are 16 1/2” from the counter and the coffee maker stands at 17” tall, thus not quite fitting in my preferred spot.
