Perfection

Sitting 8-10 hours a day needed a quality chair to provide under leg support and most importantly back lumbar support. This chair is perfect. Ordered online with free shipping it arrived the very next day. Fairly simple to put together only tool needed is the allen wrench that is provided in the box. Very happy with my purchase highly recommend.

Some of the plastic bags holding parts of the chair were open.. This is still the first day since the chair was put together for me by my son. I'm handicapped so I will be sitting on this chair a lot. Thanks.

New Office Chair

I went to Staples to buy new printer toner and saw this chair near the registers. Sat in it and loved the comfort! I've been kicking around the idea of a new comfy office chair for a while now. The price was right and although Staples didn't have it in stock they set up a warehouse order and delivered it to my house within four days ~ FREE! It was as easy to assemble as the Staples representative said it would be and even more comfortable at my desk than it was at the store!

Best Chair I've Owned

Despite several issues I am still giving this chair 5 stars. I have owned many office-type chairs and spend several hours daily in front of a computer. This is without a doubt the most comfortable and supportive chair I have used. Positives: 1) Assembly was straightforward and took about 20 minutes with the provided tool and instructions (pictures only with numbered steps). While one of the earlier reviews stated that they assembled the arms backwards I found that the mounting area of each arm is labeled with "L" or "R " accordingly. 2) Manufacturing materials must have changed since the time several reviews mentioned unbearable chemical odors. This chair was essentially odor-free thankfully. 3) The adjustments were easy to learn. a) Seatback height: Earlier reviews mentioned no way to lock the adjustment that raises the seatback but a chat with Staples informed me that you can raise the back through several click-stops and to release them you need only to raise the back to the highest. Doing that allows the back to drop to the lowest (default) setting. The following adjustments are done by moving a the single adjustment lever to specific positions and is easy to get to like: b) Seatback Tilt: There are 3 detentes for locking the seatback tilt angle each of which I found useful. You can also leave the lever in the unlocked position in which case the seatback angle is continuously variable and you can simply lean back as far as you choose. c) Forward-backward position of the seat in relation to the seatback: There are about 6 detentes. When the lever is in the unlocked position you can slide the seat from its rearmost position to its most forward position. The front edge of the seat lowers a small amount as the seat goes forward changing the angle of your thighs with respect to the floor. I find this very clever and eliminates the problem of the front edge of the seat pressing uncomfortably against my thighs. The forward-backward distance can be locked into one of the detentes as well. d) Seat height above the floor: Raise the adjusting lever and you can vary the height of the chair with an effective hydraulic system. I am 5'10" and the range of adjustments goes from too low to too high as well as just right. Arm adjustments: 4 click-stops of armrest height movement of the (thankfully soft) armrests from forward to back and swivel of the armrests inward or outward provide relief for my arms as I can change these parameters when my arms get tired of being in any one position for too long. Lumbar Support: At first I was disappointed that there was no lever to adjust the lumbar support but it bulges out from the seatback with spring tension. It varies with seatback height angle and seat distance from the back though and while I thought it would be uncomfortable for me I can say that it seems to "know" just how it should be placed for me. All of these adjustments add up to a chair that I can use for many hours and forget about the chair until I get up. The construction is solid the casters work just fine on my wood floor and I would recommend the chair for anybody. I have dealt with a sensitive lower back for decades and this is the first chair that eases my back. The issues: 1) There is no adjustment that allows the whole chair to tilt back but the chair is so comfortable that I don't let that detract from my rating. 2) The armrest swivel is too easy to effect and I wish it were a bit stiffer. 3) The seatback tilt stopped locking 2 days after I got the chair. A phone call to Staples was all it took for them to send a replacement chair that came 2 business days later. Very pleasant dealing with Staples. When the new chair was assembled I found that the adjustment system was much stiffer and I have not had any further problem with the chair. 4) I disassembled the old chair and put it in the box of the replacement chair. I was told it would be picked up "sometime during the next business week." I had to stay home for the 5 days and the chair was never picked up. I called Staples that Friday and was told it would be picked up the following Monday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. but it wasn't. Two days more after I spoke to their rep about that and was told they would phone me with another pickup date I had to call again. Finally I had to request talking with a supervisor and the chair was picked up the next day. Despite all of this I would buy this chair again at Staples so you know how thrilled I am with the actual chair.
