I tried lots of chairs over several visits. I liked this 1500TM mesh chair the best. One of the Tempur-Pedic chairs was a close second. I've been working from home now for 9 months and my old chair broke due to all the extra use (10 hrs/day). I wanted the most comfortable chair I could find to replace it. This chair has a lot of adjustments that allows me to optimize it. My only (minor) complaint with the chair is I wish it was adjustable about a 1/2" lower. One of the main reasons I bought it was because it did adjust to a lower position than all the other chairs. But I would still prefer a bit lower like my previous chair. I am 5'8". And it goes plenty low enough if I sit like a mannequin for 10 hrs. But throughout the day I like to change my leg position including stretching them out in front of me. I can do that with this chair reasonably well (and better than all the other chairs I tried). But when fully outstretched the front of the seat puts pressure on the underside of my legs. If the chair could adjust just a little lower or if the seat could tilt a bit forward I would have considered the chair perfect. I really wanted to rate it 4.5 stars but 1/2 stars are not possible. I've been using it several weeks. I might get a small foot rest but was hoping to avoid that solution. The main reason for this review was to comment on the Staples customer support. My chair arrived damaged. The frame that supports the back was broken. The main box was in decent condition. It did have a 2" hole in the bottom that looked like a puncture. Anyway I dreaded having to box everything up and somehow ship it back in order to get a replacement. The box was way too large to fit in my car. But when I called Staples support they opened a case for me and asked me to respond to an email that had some questions about the damage. I answered the questions and also submitted pictures of the broken frame and the box. They were able to send me a replacement back for the chair which I received in less than a week. And I didn't even need to return the broken back. In fact it went out with the trash tonight. So even though I was disappointed at getting a damaged chair the remediation went as well as could be expected. Note that the chair's frame seems to be very well constructed. So I don't know what could have caused it to break during shipping. Maybe it broke before shipping. It remains to be seen how well the chair and the new back will stand up over time. But at this point I see no reason to doubt the chair will last decades.
Love all the adjustments to fit different people. The lumbar support is excellent! It’s among the best I’ve found. (Good adjustable lumbar support is very important to me.) Another feature that doesn’t usually appear at this price point is the adjustable seat bottom - which you can slide (and lock) forward and aft. For long sessions I really appreciate the breathable mesh. The designers did a good job of creating comfortable support using the stretched mesh. I am fussy about pressure points but I have had no issues over the several weeks that I’ve been using my chair. Assembly was quite easy. (I did it solo but a helping hand to hold the back and arms as you tighten would be nice.) The included Allen wrench has a long handle to give you plenty of leverage to make sure the screws are tight. Time will tell but this appears to be a well made product that will last a long time.
I find the mesh seat great it is very comfortable all day and the spring tension lumbar support is a great feature also. Another nice feature is the seat can be slid front to back to get you in just the position in relation to the chair back. Overall it is a great chair.
