Fizzing not as good as the original sodastream

Really disappointed. The original is so much better. The Fizzi carbonation doesn't last through the entire bottle, seems to use a lot more gas too. I gave my original away and wish I had it back. The Fizzi is not as good.
The Fizzi is a match made in heaven for me. I love sparkling water, but not the price tag from buying individual servings. And I would often open a can and then wait to drink it until some of the fizz subsided. With the Fizzi, I can adjust the fizz level to my own taste! It has already paid for itself and I love the different Bubly and soda flavor options.
May not make sense for everyone but it sure did for me. I used to drink at least a 12-pack of seltzers a day. Even with the cheapest generic brand, it wasn't cheap and the hassle of shopping, hauling and storing all those cases kinda sucked. My Sodastream has eliminated all of that and it's just so dang cool to do it myself. I'm lovin' it!
To be fair, as I write this review , I am waiting for my replacement machine and co2 bottle. The original order arrived within about 7 days. When setting up and using for the first time, the charging mechanism stays pressed and keeps filling the bottle without turning off. Like I said, I’m still waiting for my replacements to adequately judge this system. I will gladly adjust this review according to how the replacement functions.

I wasted a lot gas trying to figure out how to use it. I had to watch a few YouTube videos to figure it out. You should tell us you need to push the bottle up until the white part is in the water.
On about the third quick pump from the brand-new Sodastream Fizzi I just got, water blows everywhere, the gas sometimes continues to leak out even after releasing the pump button- to the point where I’m sometimes forced to unscrew the gas canister to get it to stop. Ironically, the water itself has never gotten fully-carbonated. A friend who uses her Sodastream all the time looked at it and thought the gas canister may be defective (she confirmed that it appeared to be set up correctly); said the same had happened to hers just once, with a defective refill. Disappointing for the device to be malfunctioning straight out of the box. Anticipating some long exchange with Customer Service that I don’t have the time or patience for, tbh.
