This beautiful large piece opens up to hold your belongings on both sides with extra zippered pockets and straps to secure and an expander option. I took the whole set of Travelpro Platinum Elite hard sides (Large, Medium & carryon to a 10 day stay. The wheels spin in any direction and very smoothly glide on any surface - even cobblestone streets of London & Paris. I am so grateful for the performance of this brand especially when we literally had to run to catch a train!

Good product overall. I think the plastic could be a little thicker as it has a few dings after two trips. The biggest improvement I could suggest is to add a compartment that houses contact information as the airline stickers don’t stick well to the outside.

I have been using my Crew 5 travel pro set and loved them but after many years the wheels deteriorated and I was told they are no longer carried, so I had to buy a new set. I went with a hard case/spinner check-in and carry on, so I could open the clam shell and stick under bed of cruise ship, my old Crew 5 would not fit. I was also wanting the ease of use with spinners, but concerned about the wheels breaking so I'm not giving my old Crew 5 up just yet. My soft-side Crew 5 (2006) will hold LOTS more than this hardset esp the mid size - I'm guessing 2-3x more which is dissapointing but that is why I'm giving it a 4 star and not a 5. They are smaller, less pockets, and can't be as stuffed. But it is the style and I needed the clam shell. So it is what it is. My Crew 5 mid size I could pack enough for months, my clam shell mid size it's good for a week. My larger checked bag (clam shell) is a fine size to keep under 50 lbs for airlines, where as my big old Crew five holds much more than 50 lbs which was always a concern on an airline, but I think airlines took 70 lbs at that time. Until I use the clam shells more to experience how they hold up and function, I'm just giving three stars ... and hoping they will ultimately be a 5 star. I really want TravelPro to carry the wheels of my old Crew 5 so I can replace them.

Great quality luggage

The luggage came well packed to prevent damage. Love the color and my husband was very impressed with the quality. We have not taken a trip yet but have plans for two cruises in 2024. The only con that I have noticed is that it is hard to get your hand in to use the pickup straps. Could use more slack there.
