I made the right choice with this luggage!

We purchased the Platinum Elite collection for our family of five. We just used them for the first time on our vacation and now know that I made the right choice in luggage. I love the zippered compartments and the ability to extend the suitcase. It rolled so smoothly on hard and soft flooring and held up great even for our checked bags. Scratches are not very noticeable because of the matte finish. I also love the fact that the carryon can be stored inside the medium checked. I

We bought two TravelPro suitcases in anticipation of trips to Savannah, Georgia and to Italy. So far we like what we see, but the proof will come once we load ‘em up and hit the road. Expecting great things!

We had some soft side

We had some soft side travel pro luggage that we had for many years which finally wore out a few years back. We decided to get some spinners and were "hooked in" by a sales guy in a local mall. We purchased some off brand soft side luggage which after 2 trips, 3 of the wheels had broken. I went back to the mall and of course the store was gone. I tried to reach the mfg. but they were out of business. Well, they made 1 more trip before they split apart.
So we ordered some Travelpro which we should have from the start. So much better!!!!!
You get what you pay for. Travelpro is a bit ,more expensive but well worth the cost

Luggage is nice and light weight
BUT the other reviews I views are correct
The large piece is very hard to manage when lifting into a trunk or even on a hotel luggage cart
There should be a lip or extension at the bottom of the piece to grip and pick up the piece with the other end
Major flaw in developing this piece

Outer shell is light, thin and flexible, not rigid as you might expect

I only bought the luggage last month, so I'm still new to it. So far so good. My only criticism is how flimsy the outer shell feels. It flexes, which is probably good for enduring abuse from airlines, but I was expecting a harder / less flexible outer shell. The shell is thin, so it's light but it gives it a cheaper feel than I had expected for such an expensive item. We'll see how it holds up over time. I picked the luggage for it's lengthy warranty coverage.
