Haven't traveled with this bag yet. Very excited about using it. Leaving in a few weeks. Did a lot of research before ordering & am very happy with product. I'm going on a trip requiring cold weather gear which is very bulky. Also, I was concerned about using a suitcase larger than European airlines' size limits. Platinum medium holds my heaviest parka & boots in just 1 of the 4 compartments, leaving plenty of space for other clothing. For future trips, I think I will be able to take just this one suitcase & not have to use a carry on. Bliss! I selected the Platinum style because of the reenforced corners & 4 wheels configuration. Size difference between medium & large is only 1 cubic foot. Initially I planned to add to my existing set of another brand, but TravelPro was more reasonably priced
Not new to Travel Pro, but new to their Hard side line.

We bought a set of 2, this medium (not used yet) along with a compact carry-on for international travel after we retired. It will be used on an extended vacation later this year in December. We have used the smaller bag for a couple short jaunts on the East coast. The compact holds more than enough for a long weekend. Glides dreamily through the airports we’ve been through. Packed to the gills (expanded) it still fit in the Domestic overhead and weighed only 32 pounds. We cannot wait to use them on our European vacation.
Nice luggage but not for me. It was my first hard side and I must be honest I don't like how it opens in the middle. I prefer the one side opening so I won't be using this for travel. It is built well so no complaint on the quality.
This is my 4th Travel pro. I really enjoy their product. Everything worked great on this one, except it appears I do have a defect in the expansion zipper area. I plan to report and see if Travel Pro backs their product. All other I have purchased have been excellent.
