Great Smoothie-maker!!!

This is an excellent blender -so easy to use!!! I am a new smoothie-maker, and this blender made it easy. Very good at crushing ice in the smoothie!!!

Terrible instructions

I gave this a 3 because I really don't know how it would have worked. I could not seat the jar base securely. No matter how I placed it, it would rock. The directions and picture are not adequate. I will be returning it.

1. Turn the jar upside down so the small opening is at the top. Then place the sealing ring over the jar opening.
2. Place the blade into the jar.
3. Place threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt over the blade and jar (Note: If there are slots on top of the collar, line them up with notches on the jar.) Place the threaded jar nut or threaded jar skirt on the jar and turn it clockwise to tighten.
4. Place the jar assembly onto the base.
5. Line up the tabs of the jar with tabs on the blender base. Make sure the tab of the jar on the left side is in the back of the tab of the blender base and the tab of the jar on the right side is in front of the tab of the blender base. Make sure the jar is seated in position.

Jars not locking in place are normally cause by incorrectly assembled parts. Don’t worry, I will be more than happy assist you today.
Below are the steps we need to take to make sure the Jar assembly is correct and ready for blending:
1. Make sure the blender is unplugged and the components are clean.
2. Turn the jar upside down and make sure it’s on a solid work surface.
3. Place the blade into the threaded jar bottom, handling it very carefully as blades are sharp.
4. Place the sealing ring over the blade and carefully snap the sealing ring into the locking groove with your fingers or the back of a spoon, making sure that it is flat and not wrinkled.
5. Ensure that the sealing ring is fully and evenly tucked into place, and holding the blade assembly to the jar bottom.
6. Install the blade assembly onto the jar, turning to fully tighten.

Hi, I have had this blender for years and have had absolutely no problems. I have used it to make smoothies, grind nuts and cream soups.

Oster Classic Series Blender 700 Plastic jar

I bought my Blender about a month ago. I had forgot to buy malt mix so finally put it together tonight. At first I tried to put it together the way the instructions directed but it exploded malt all over my kitchen. So I decided to try again but put it together with jar right side up. I put threaded jar skirt on table put blade in with seal on top. Screwed the bottom to jar plugged it in. Then i put my ice cream in malt mix milk and blended! Works Great!

Reliable blender

My roommate and I bought this blender a little over 2 years ago and it still works fine. At first I was skeptical of the quality because of the low price, but it's quite durable as long as you take care of it and does its job well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oster Duralast Classic blender, plastic jar, black

I bought this blender about a year ago, and didn't start using it until recently.
It was not working properly, struggling to blend my smoohtie with frozen bluberries, and almond milk. It would start, then stop. Tried to reposition the jar on to the base, didn't help.
After third time restating the whole thing came off, and blueberries mush was all over my counter top. Would not recommend this blender to anyone.
