Great Dynamic Sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great dynamic sound overall. Happy with the purchase. Although set up and configuration turned out to be relatively simple, I found the manual lacking specificity on exact steps that need to be taken to connect the rear speakers and subwoofer.

Here are some tips to help improve your audio experience.
You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function such as Auto EQ, Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, you can press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
To control the volume of each speaker, press the CH LEVEL button on the provided remote. Then select CENTER LEVEL, SIDE LEVEL, WIDE LEVEL, FRONT TOP LEVEL, REAR LEVEL, or REAR TOP LEVEL. Once you find the channel you are looking for, adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
There are multiple ways to control the bass levels for your new Soundbar.
1) Using the WOOFER button on the provided Soundbar remote. Use the woofer button by pushing forward or pulling backward on the button itself to adjust the bass levels between -12 or -6/+6. If you want to reset the bass to 0 then push the button in.
2) When you press the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the treble or bass levels between -6/+6.
Alternatively, you can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device.

This is Cinema..

I never could've imagined... The HW-Q990H is the pinnacle of sound in my opinion. After upgrading from the HW-Q800T, I knew it could be better but by NO means did I think it could be THIS much better. With such crystal clear highs and rumbling lows, I truly felt as though I was in my own person theater. The Dolby Atmos was on full display while watching John Wick and I truly felt every punch and kick throughout the action scenes. The 11.1.4-channel surround sound made the feel as if i was sitting in the hotel instead the movie instead of watching it on my OLED. And while this may seem like a small feature, the fact that I can connect everything by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi honestly allows so much flexibility when it comes to placement in my apartment... This is cinema...

Awesome Sound System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound system is awesome!. The clarity of the sound is so crisp and clear. The subwoofer puts out a lot of bass and I love that its smaller than our last one - fits our space much better. The true 11.1.4ch full surround makes it fell like we are right in the middle of the movies we watch. Set up was quick and easy. The SpaceFit Sound Pro made setting the system up for our space very simple as well. With a wireless set up we didnt have to worry about cords and such, so the look in our living room is clean and minimized.

Solid AIO Package, Theater like Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the item and noticed right away that the soundbar is solidly built and feels high quality. It’s got some heft to it and is longer than I expected.
Installation was a breeze. I hooked it up using HDMI ARC, plugged each unit into a wall outlet, and the initial power-up went smoothly. It automatically paired with the two rear speakers and sub.
I quickly jumped into my favorite streaming platform and chose a Dolby Atmos–enabled movie. First impression was wow… it really feels like you’re in a movie theater. The volume was only set to 13 and it was already plenty loud—you can hear and feel the bass. Some scenes had sound coming from the rear speakers, which was great.
I paired it with Alexa, Spotify, and added it to my SmartThings setup. There are more settings in the app if you want to tweak things further. There’s also a neat nighttime mode that disables everything except the rear speakers. Great feature for late-night watching without disturbing others.
Listening to music was great, especially after setting the surround speakers to equal levels in the app. Highs and mids were crisp and clean, but I do wish the sub would hit lower. With movies, it’s great. For music, it’s okay. I also wish it had a sub-out option if you wanted to supplement it.
So far, so good. I’m satisfied with the whole package—it definitely brings an immersive experience when watching movies.

Movie theater now at home

The sound bar converts my home into the perfect theater. I watched Zootopia 2 on my older soundbar, and I rewatched the movie this time with the Samsung Q990H soundbar, and trust me, the experience was on a whole new level. The clarity of dialogue was exceptionally great. The sound detailing in the surround sound was helping to bring each detail to life. With Samsung 990H, the smallest woofer I have ever seen. Don't go with the size of the woofer speaker, it has the best bass, and it adds a lot in tv watching experience. If your video content supports Dolby Atmos, it shows on the soundbar display. Also, I can listen to my fav music just by connecting the soundbar via AirDrop.

Game changer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This system is amazing. My husband plugged it in and there was basically no set up needed. The surround speakers are really cool because we plugged them in and they automatically connected no pairing needed. The sound was phenomenal, it made my living room feel like a movie theater! There is an app you can use to control the sound and tweak it how you want it to be. We played music and it would be perfect for our upcoming parties, or just jamming out while cleaning the house. Overall, I am really happy with this system, my husband is too lol it was like Christmas for him to open it up.
