First modular build. I think I'm hooked

So, I've really liked 1 off builds... Treehouse, barracuda bay, saturn v, lunar lander, etc. This is my first modular building and it was a fun build. I recently got back into lego and it's been an addicting ride. Build shelves just to display the addictive binge builds and the modulars have peaked my interest. I'm contemplating getting another and have my eyes set on the police station and stack that next to this one. Space is at a premium by me, so I can't go all out and get one a week, but it's tempting. I have a place for these modulars all picked out, but I'm saving room for other sets coming out this year.
This set was filled with nods to the previous modulars according to the instructions. Shame only 4 are currently in stores. Anyways, statistically, a new one should be coming out next year.
The building techniques were clever. The crowbar, whip, handcuffs, snakes and skeleton leg in particular. I bought a corner modular in the event I didn't like modulars, I can just set this in the corner on my shelf and display it with 2 adjacent faces showing, however, I think I'll be getting another in the near future. Recommended if this is your first modular.

Time for a Stay!

I love this LEGO set. I also have the Police Station and Bookshop modulars, but I enjoyed this set more than those. The build experience is fun, and the details are great! Especially the little chocolate bar on the bed on the top floor! I have to say my favorite part was that there are NO STICKERS! Every brick with a design is printed. That's great because like other Lego fans, I despise stickers because they cause me frustration because I can never get them on straight. So this set made me so happy when I opened the box and there was no sticker sheet. Thanks for a great set LEGO.

Gorgeous build

The hotel has so much detailing and some intricate design.
There are three floors, and each floor has it's own charm. The lobby has patterned flooring, the hotel rooms have unique furniture, and the terrace bar is adorable.
The set was complicated, but not difficult to put together. It is a longer undertaking though, so give yourself some time. I think it's a good play piece as well, because you can remove each floor pretty easily and get inside each story.
Overall the boutique hotel is a really great addition to our budding town. We lit up the set and it looks so beautiful on the street corner.

New high standard?

Having become an AFOL recently after a 24 year dark period and building four sets before this, I found this to be on another level in terms of the cohesion, cadence and logic of the build. It also plays a role that evokes a certain part of the world in a very real manner. While building on the floor, I used the hard surface of a Rafael catalog with a portrait of a boy on the front, and as I began the first bedroom level, the colors of the bricks matched the skin tones on the Rafael portrait with uncanny accuracy. If I have a criticism it is that the bricks seemed a little loose fitting, and I’m not sure if I’ve kept it in too warm a room, though my other sets haven’t become that way in the same room. This set really hits a sweet spot in more ways than one! I enjoyed reading about the designer’s time in Freiburg, in an interview in an online publication. I really appreciate the foray into real architecture that lego has made in the last couple decades, and the calluses on my finger tips after completing these Happy builds.

A Amazing Hotel

I think the Boutique Hotel is a very nice set
because it has everything a hotel would have,
like a patio, a suite, and a little art store on the side, and more. I love the art store because
it has the Creator Expert logo as a sculpture. This is a great set for you.

Looks amazing fully built with some great techniques and piece usage. The top floor especially looks great with the smooth transition of the sand green pieces.
