not same size as filtrete

Filter seems ok but it's at least 1/2" smaller than the filtrete filter it replaced. Never thought there would be such a significant difference between manufacturers. Both filtrete and Filterbuy filters state, "20x20x1" filter. Since this one is smaller, air is bypassing the filter because I can now hear a slight whistle. Tried adjusting but it's not very easy
