Filters are a bit smaller in dimentions than the ones I was buying locally. I wonder about air bypasdong the filter surface.

I'm sure this is a fine, even superior filter. I had been using 12 x 12 x 5 inch filters, which have been phased out. I spoke w a Rep about the 2 in thick filters, and she felt they were the best solution. After 2 orders botched by FedEx, they finally arrived. But... due to the way they are made, don't fit in the A/C return. Boo.
