22"X36"X1" filters I ordered

It is a surprise to me that they are larger than the ones I normally order in merv 8 why is that? Now I have to crush length and width of these to get them into my return air grille. Why????

Unfortunately filter didnt fit. Too thick. Original was listed as 2 deep but measured 1 7/8.

Your four inch filters fit
