We haven’t used our waffle maker yet. However, the instructions do not mention one word about rotating (turning over) the waffle maker?

I thought that the waffles would be crispy, but they are not. I had the dial turned all the way to dark and it barely came out dark tan. I think I need to learn how to use it better. My old waffle maker was much easier to use. It didn't have so many steps.It was a 4 waffle Mainstays. Unfortunately I dropped it and it broke, so I thought I would try this one instead.

Gets hot very quick when plugged in, which is a good thing. Although when it says “ready” and lights up green, it’s still not cooked all the way, even when the setting is put all the way to dark.
