I love freshly roasted and ground coffee. I also love the convenience of the Keurig platform. Unfortunately, it is often difficult to find the intersection between those to passions due to the supply-chain realities of the K-Cup distribution channels and a 24 month BUBD. Today, I noticed a new SKU at my local grocery …Black Granite Coffee. I decided to give it a try and my first cup was a very pleasant experience. It reminded me of the old days when I’d get my coffee at the GMCR factory outlet (the “FO”) in Waterbury. The FO knew no equal when it came to a good cup of coffee. It was A#1. The coffee tasted so I fresh and good, I decided to check the BUBD and discovered the date was 22 months into the future, meaning this is a very recently packaged carton and I’m loving it as a result. This is the Keurig platform at its best. A well crafted coffee, conveniently available and very fresh. Lucky me!

This is a very good espresso style coffee. I try to find dark roast coffees to try since that is what I like. This is good with a small amount of bitterness. But I expect that in espresso coffee. Will buy again.
It’s not real espresso and you must like the dark roast’s burnt flavor, but this is otherwise a pretty good cup of coffee. I would recommend it to those who are accustomed to a strong French roast.
I really love strong coffee, so I was eager to try this espresso roast which I had never seen in a store. Flavor-wise it's not for me. It's strong but also bitter. But my one star is for the pod itself which has, on multiple occasions (I'm going to finish the coffee), it has leaked out all over the counter. In addition, it completely blew out one time which necessitated an impossible cleaning of the inside my new Keurig.
I loved their Vista 44 Espresso Roast and I was upset that it only came in boxes of six. And then, to top that off, it was discontinued! I switched to my next best choice, Double Diamond, which is a pretty decent dark roast. Last order, I got to browsing around, hoping that I'd see Vista 44 back, even if for a limited time. Nope. Then, I saw Black Granite and decided I'd try one box since its description sounded a lot like Vista 44's. Black Granite might not quite compare but believe me, this is 99.99% as good as the Vista 44! I detect a slightly sweet, chocolatey note in this roast and vanilla creamer is most excellent in it. I have since changed my scheduled order from Double Diamond to Black Granite, and as long as this stuff stays in stock, these guys have a loyal drinker of it right here! Very highly recommend this!
