I’m one of the unfortunate people who didn’t know about the health consequences of eating undercooked rice. During my recovery, I thoroughly investigated the benefits of using a pressure induction rice cooker, and reviews for the Zojirushi far exceeded those for any other manufacturer. I had owned two other units in the past, and found their cooking results unimpressive and the units very heavy. On my first use of the 10 Cup Zojirushi, I discovered that I’d never been able to enjoy such delicious rice at home ever before. Yes, it is an expensive machine. But if you enjoy restaurant quality rice, there’s no other cooker that will come close to the quality of Zojirushi!

The rice cooker is too expensive for what it does, and the rice tastes about the same as it does from cheaper models.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to start out by saying this rice cooker came with a small measuring cup and a rice spatula. Which is great because there’s nothing more you could need for this! It has brown/white rice settings, as well and congee, jasmine rice, and steel cut oatmeal options. I’m a jasmine rice household so that’s what I use the most, it has a regular setting or a quick setting. Although I haven’t used the quick setting yet, I will say the regular setting takes 59 minutes to cook the rice.
It comes out SO soft and delicious, the measuring lines are clearly visible and it is super easy to clean. The inner lid comes out to clean after every use. I also love the fact that it plays twinkle twinkle little star when your rice is ready! It is a little bigger than your average rice cooker, but it’s still small enough to not take up a lot of cabinet space. It’s super easy to use with heating options and type of food, and start button. Super simple yet so effective! I highly recommend! Registering for warranty was also a breeze! Thank you!’

This is the most Amazing rice cooker I’ve EVER used. Comes with accessories and even has an oatmeal setting. This is so worth the investment and I couldn’t be more happy to have gotten to test this product. I Recommend 100%. Can’t wait to make so many rice recipes as we make lots of Spanish rices etc.

I am a lifelong Zojirushi customer and have always loved the quality of Zojirushi products. This rice cooker amazed me with its quality, its sleekness and its functionality. It has many of the same core functions as my older Zojirushi rice cooker (neuro fuzzy) but this one has enhanced technology.

This model uses special pressurized induction heating which makes the rice plump and fluffy. The induction heating system allows for precise temperature control. This technology ensures rice doesn’t come out mushy. There are also many options to choose from. You can select different types of rice such as Jasmine, brown, regular, congee, oatmeal, sushi, sweet or mixed. For white rice, You can also select firm or umami (which soaks and steams the rice for a longer period to enhance the flavor). There is also a quick setting which cooks the rice in a shorter period of time.
The rice cooker has an easy to read, light up display. The display shows the time. When the rice is cooking, it shows how many minutes are remaining.
When I used the quick setting, the countdown showed it would be done cooking in 37 minutes. The regular setting is 59 minutes. The rice is cooked perfectly and deliciously, in my opinion, using either setting . The rice cooker played a melody when it started cooking and again when the rice was done. It automatically goes into keep warm mode once it’s finished cooking. Another cool feature is the delay start. You can set it to start at a later time. I like to set it in the morning before work and have the rice cooked before I get home in the evening. It will switch to keep warm after it’s done cooking if I’m back later than expected.
The inner pot feels very heavy, much heavier than any other inner pot I’ve seen. It feels durable and of high quality. Come to think of it, the rice cooker machine itself is also very heavy, much heavier than any other model I’ve seen.
In addition to the self clean function, the lid inside can be removed for easy cleaning. I’m not sure if the self clean function is necessary though since you would wash the lid and inner pot after each use.

The rice paddle that it comes with is so thoughtfully designed! Most rice paddles have a flat bottom so that you need to lay it flat on the table. This one is shaped so that it can stand on its own.
The wire is detachable rather than retractable. You plug it into the cooker and can be removed easily. I personally prefer the retractable wires over the detachable ones but it’s not a huge difference except that I might end up misplacing the wire.
The design is sleek and modern looking but is fairly wide. While the inner pot is small, the outer rice cooker machine is rather large. This model has a 5 cup capacity but takes up a fair amount of space, about as much space as my older 10 cup model. I think this might be due to the control and display panel which protrudes beyond the inner pot section.
While I love the rice cooker and it’s perfect as it is for cooking rice, the suggestions I would make for future enhancements are to make it more compact for the smaller 5 cup model and to have it cook other things like soup. These would be bonus items that I would love!
