After only a short time in use, this filter seems to be functioning properly and meeting all expectations. If it continues to perform at this level it will be a purchase well worth it.

8x14x1 filter is exactly 8x14 so hard to get in return vent. Have to shoehorn it in with putty knife. Would be helpful if it was 1/4 smaller. Why isnt this made 1/4 smaller as so many others are?

The filters that I purchased

The filters that I purchased do not fit the slot that the filters should be inserted. The heater is older but the size that I ordered is the size of the existing (old and dirty) filter that I was trying to replace. It appears that 1 " is the smallest filter available, however, we need something less than an inch. Any suggestions??
