Good Filter but lacks proper thickness

I normally buy 3M Filtrete 20x25x4 filters for my Honeywell HVAC units. They are actually 4 3/8 inches thick and the filters fit the plenum properly. The FilterBuy 20x25x4 filters are 3 3/4 inch thick and fit loosely in the plenum. I may have to have FilterBuy custom-make ones of the proper thickness in the future, or go back to the 3M Filtretes.

I hate to admit it but I won't know if my filter is good or not until I change it in 6 months. But believe me, if it's not good I'll tell you.

Read closely. The thickness of this filter is less than 4". It is so loose I feel that air is going around (not through) the filter. I wish I would not have purchased so many
