Wrong size filters

I had purchased 20x32x2 filters and this morning I tried to replaced my old ones just to find out they the filters that were send to me were 30x32x2. Needless to say I had to cut them to at least use them.

The only reason I ordered this filter rather than glue two together with tape is because I assumed it would be single professionally built filter of this size (12x36x2). Shouldn't have bothered, I could have bought two smaller filters and stuck them together myself... So now 4" in the middle of the filter is taken up by the splice between two smaller filters. Such a mickey mouse solution
