These filters check a lot of boxes for me. They are affordable, they help with the pet smell (I have two large dogs and a cat), you can set up monthly reminders to change them with filterbuy, and the outer part can be recycled!

Shop dust collection

I use the 20x20" filters to augment the dust collection in my modest woodworking shop. I simply tape the filter to the front of an inexpensive box fan. The filter does a great job of trapping residual airborne dust. The filters are a much higher quality than I can get at the big box stores at the same price.
