High merv rating with a low pressure drop

These filters were tested in a CA dept of energy study that verified the static pressure across the filters. These filters performed best at simultaneously providing great filtering and the least restriction to air flow. Roughly 20 different filters were tested from various manufacturers. I believe it was under or right at .1 inch h20 at 1000cfm. Many manual J programs use an input of .1-.15 for residential system designs. Without measuring this after installing a new filter you are potentially compromising system efficiency and performance especially with newer variable speed systems the consumer may be negating the efficiency benefits of their system when installing filters that filter better without even knowing it. Hopefully filter manufacturers will be forced to specify the pressure drops of their filters at varying cfms in the future so the HVAC professional and homeowners alike can select filters that are both good at filtering and not restrictive thus creating the issues listed above. CA is trying to push for this by 2020.

Purchase 4 MERV 13 Filters every 3 months to keep the allergens down in our classrooms. They are very effective. Filter Buy is great to deal with.

I have not used these filters yet, but noticed that there is nothing on the filter to indicate its MERV rating. We pay a premium for the MERV-13 but really can only take your word that you shipped what we asked for since you avoid stating it right on the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed filters for a free standing air filter. The OEM filters are very expensive, as they come mounted in a completely unnecessary plastic body. The FilterBuy filters don't have that, and fit perfectly, for a much lower price. I have also bought furnace filters from them, and will again next year when I've used all from this order.

Odd size filters are not a problem!

You sure aren't going to find a 30x32x2 MERV 13 filter at your local big box home improvement store! I need 4 different sized filters for my house and my kids houses. Two of the filters are standard sizes and 2 are not easy to find. Still, AFB gets them all to me in a few days, and honestly, I don't see how they do it for the price. I buy a years worth at one time and have been doing so for several years now. Easy and painless, just like you want it to be.
