The size difference from the other 16x25x4 furnace filters in the market

new "16x25x4" MERV 13 Furnace Filters are smaller than my previously used 16x25x4 3M Filtrete Allergen Reduction Filters in the market. It does not fit my furnace unit directly. I had to remove the old filter sheet from my old 3M Filtrete Filter box and put this new "16x25x4" MERV 13 Furnace Filter into the old filter box in order to fit my furnace unit.

Just what I needed

It is very difficult to buy the decent filters for my furnace in Canada. It is almost impossible to find something above MERV 10 and of exactly the right size. Not to mention the insane price. Even my HVAC contractor installed the filters that were smaller than the opening, padding them on the sides with self-adhesive foam. This filter is just what I needed, fits the opening perfectly leaving no gaps. Will get back for more when the time comes to replace them.

The filters don't fit my units that well. They are designed for a filter that is truly 4" wide and these are not.
