They stink- whats contaminated them?

These are air filters! Why do they have an odor? I dont want that smell circulating through my house and polluting my home. Called support. They were supposed to call me back. So far no call Im aware of.

I'm glad I found this website for affordable filters. The Merv 16 was getting very costly, and the Merv 13 seems as if will do the same job, if the not the same, I feel it will be close enough, especially for their price

we order 6-8 once a year, they come within a few days and are individually wrapped with a plastic covering. This is nice to keep them clean while storing them close to the AC unit.
