I bought this filter to replace the trane clean effect electronic filter I had. The dust in our house is reduced massively with these filters. A slight modification to the enclosure is all that is needed. Drill out 3 rivets on the rails top and bottom and you have a nice filter. If you decide you want to install the original just re install the rails (you wont though ;)
