I usually run with the 3M product, I have found them to be better? for filtration and air flow. However, from a cost perspective Filterbuy beats all of the big box stores. Moving forward I'll probably purchase a higher MERV rated filter.

Great relief from wildfire smoke and contaminants

FilterBuy is a great resource for an educated selection of just the right size and filtering capabilities. Our MERV 13 filter fit exactly into the input slot of our Lennox Signature furnace/A/C system. With all the wildfire smoke lately, we at last have noticeable relief during those days with dangerous AQI ratings. This filter, with its 3 month life, saves $$ and, more importantly, time formerly spent on my knees each month vacuuming out the plastic mesh filter that came with the system.

Check Actual Size Before Ordering

I ordered 2 16"x20"x4" filters for my furnace. When I received them, I tried replacing my filter but the new ones were too small. I compared the filter to the old one and found that it is smaller and is identified as such. The old filter had an actual width of 15-15/16" as labeled on the side of the filter. The one from Filterbuy was 15-3/8" wide and was also labeled as such. Both are considered 16x20x4 filters. But one is works and the other (the Filterbuy) doesn't.The lesson learned is that not all 16x20x4 filters are the same despite having the same nominal dimensions. Check the ACTUAL dimensions, which are also given, to make sure the specific filter will work.
