My Observation- There doesn't seem

My Observation-There doesn't seem to be uniform spacing between the folds within the filter. Even though this probably doesn't mean much as far as the make up of the filter, it most probably has some effect on the functionality and/or efficiency of it.

A wee, little bit smaller and thinner than brand name filters but cheap enough I can replace more often. I get a higher MERV rating with these filters.

Not true measurements

The filters were received in a timely manner. Unfortunately the filter thickness is not 4" so it fits loosely in the air handler. I paid extra for the Merv 13 filters and the filters themselves are not labeled Merv 13 just a label included in plastic wrap. The filters are poor quality compared to the Merv 8 filter it replaced. I'm planning to use them and just replace them more frequently but will not be purchasing them again.

I may be presumptuous to assess the filters after one week in the ceiling, but, they have come wrapped in plastic covering which is a plus, and the filter will remain in the ceiling feeling benign neglect for 30 days, my usual "change the diaper time".

My new HVAC system (7/21/2020)

My new HVAC system (7/21/2020) came with a Ultravarion 20x25x5 MERV 11 filter and we wanted to upgrade to a MERV 13 filter so as to better protect our family. I just installed the filter 1/22/2021 so we are just starting to us it. They came very quickly from when they were ordered.
