Just what I needed

It is very difficult to buy the decent filters for my furnace in Canada. It is almost impossible to find something above MERV 10 and of exactly the right size. Not to mention the insane price. Even my HVAC contractor installed the filters that were smaller than the opening, padding them on the sides with self-adhesive foam. This filter is just what I needed, fits the opening perfectly leaving no gaps. Will get back for more when the time comes to replace them.

The filters don't fit my units that well. They are designed for a filter that is truly 4" wide and these are not.

Beware of the size!

While the prices are very good, the 16x25x4 filters are actually smaller than that, as I now see in parentheses next to the size. The Honeywell filters I have bought in the past are actually 16x25x4. The smaller filters leave a significant gap in the air cleaner; if I had realized this I would not have bought them!

Filters seem a lot less dense in construction than the very expensive filters from Carrier....too early to tell if your filters will last as long....seem to have much less filter area....meaning that they might "clog up" earlier thereby lessoning the cost advantage....may have to be replaced sooner....we'll see how it goes.....tom
