These filters were tested in a CA dept of energy study that verified the static pressure across the filters. These filters performed best at simultaneously providing great filtering and the least restriction to air flow. Roughly 20 different filters were tested from various manufacturers. I believe it was under or right at .1 inch h20 at 1000cfm. Many manual J programs use an input of .1-.15 for residential system designs. Without measuring this after installing a new filter you are potentially compromising system efficiency and performance especially with newer variable speed systems the consumer may be negating the efficiency benefits of their system when installing filters that filter better without even knowing it. Hopefully filter manufacturers will be forced to specify the pressure drops of their filters at varying cfms in the future so the HVAC professional and homeowners alike can select filters that are both good at filtering and not restrictive thus creating the issues listed above. CA is trying to push for this by 2020.

Have an odd shaped filter so was having to use a metallic-fabric filter and wash it regularly. I learned about this company and gave it a try. They produced a perfectly sized filter which makes it simpler to ensure a clean, more effective filter.
