They seem to fit a little tighter than my previous filters, but that turns out to be my benefit; in the unorthodox way I'm using them. Using a thicker filter allows me to step-up the MERV rating without taxing the air-handler, so I was quite pleased that they would hold themselves in place without any modification to the filter holder that was meant to hold a 1" thick filter.

More bang for your buck

We'd just purchased our new house and it was time to change the filter for the first time. Didn't realize how expensive they are compared to other filter types and sizes. To purchase 2 filter for less than the cost of a single filter is at the big box hardware stores will keep me happy happy happy and I save more because of the subscription program which also helps.
