Filter Size

The electrostatic filter I was replacing was 23 X 251/4. I can't tell whether there might be a slack crack on the far end of the slot it slides in. I pull it back a fraction so there is not a crack at the front of the slot. I'm trying to decide whether to pay the extra money for the exact size the electrostatic filter was. If it was you what would you do?

We just put the first filter purchased from your company in our AC unit and are pleased with the function of the filter. Our AC seems to be running cooler, and is turning on less often. We had been purchasing higher priced filters from a big box store, but this one is already proving to be superior. Thank you!!
