I was expecting a filter

I was expecting a filter that I would install inside the original case that slides into the tracks in the filter housing. The original filter has more sq. in. Of filter area. This replacement filter lays inside the housing on top of the plenum and I dont believe air bypasses it so I am using it. Thanks for your inquiry.
