Why is there a protrusion at the top of the filter?
on August 9, 2018
Posted by: Anonymous
There is a 3/4 inch overlap in the cardboard that protrudes from the top of the filter. It has three cutouts that don't seem to have any purpose and I think it makes it more difficult for me to close and lock the door in my Trane furnace.

One of the filters got bent up a little and affected the installation somewhat. Other than that, satisfied.
