A 4 inch filter on my through the wall AC

A 4 inch filter means more filter material and less drag on my A/C motor. it works as I hoped it would. Ill be using the 4 inch filters in the future for sure.

20x25x4 filters fit loosely

FilterBuy clearly lists the dimensions. Be aware these filters are not as wide or tall as others such as Honeywell. I am using the first one and hope the loose fit does not negatively affect static pressure, a measurement my system makes to determine air flow restriction to send an alert to change the filter. I can not tell if these filters are electrostatic charged, either, like the Honeywell, but they do not appear to be, so I am unsure how efficient these MERV 8s will be compared to Honeywell.

When I go to the store and buy a certain size filter, I would expect these to follow that standard sizing.

Proper fit

The Filtrete filters i bought previously were of the same nominal size but actually were too large for the filter chamber on my furnaces. Filterbuy filters are just the right size. We'll see if they last for as long as a year before they need to be changed.
