8x14x1 filter is exactly 8x14 so hard to get in return vent. Have to shoehorn it in with putty knife. Would be helpful if it was 1/4 smaller. Why isnt this made 1/4 smaller as so many others are?

I needed a custom, special size air filter when the manufacturer of my shop air filter said it was out-of-stock. The Filterbuy web page was easy to navigate and easy to request the specific size I needed. Best of all, the company sent me accurately-sized filters.

To bad when you buy a 16x25x4 filter it is not the actual size but alot smaller. Doesn't fit and lets dirty air pass around the small filter. Will have to throw it away and buy the correct one.

The filters that I purchased

The filters that I purchased do not fit the slot that the filters should be inserted. The heater is older but the size that I ordered is the size of the existing (old and dirty) filter that I was trying to replace. It appears that 1 " is the smallest filter available, however, we need something less than an inch. Any suggestions??
