I did not buy Merv 8, I bought Merv 13, which is what we purchase all the time. Please review your records and assure me the Merv 8 filters were not charged against our account.

My A/C guy wants me to use cheap fiberglass filters because they allow more air (and dirt) to pass through resulting in having to physically clean the evaporator. If you use a merv 8 pleated paper filter they wont allow dirt through but you have to change them more often. Thankfully there outfits like Filerbuy that give great deals on pleated paper filters so you can have a clean evaporator, along with fine filtered cool air!
