It seems weird to me

It seems weird to me that Trane would use a hard to find size filter in one of their top of the line HVAC units, but FilterBuy is the only place I was able to find a high quality replacement that fits.

These were not a replacement for the Honeywell filters I had that indicated the same size on the box. Probably my fault for not reading further on the fine print - i assumed a filter size was a filter size.

filters not the same size

Ordered filters exactly same size as our Honeywell filters but filter buy filters re not same size. Really disappointing. I had to tape cardboard pieces to get the outside dimension height. Why would exact size filter buy filter be same size as Honeywell?

They came quickly, very nice service. But they have a strong smell, chemical kind of smell. Further, they are so much smaller than the Columbia Gold filters I have used for years that I do not think they will work in my air handler. I should have ordered only one, or read the actual dimensions more carefully. But Filter buy is a great company... have been very responsive. For some reason the Columbia Gold filters come in the actual dimension given, are not cut down.

Filter fitting slightly off

Received the filters promptly and they appear to work well. Only complaint is the fit is a bit off, as they are thinner than the unit, and bend slightly going in.
