too big for my unit

The filter was a bit larger than a similar 16x25x5 filter I bought from another place. This was a bit bigger and didn't fit. Now I have to send back and pay for shipping, which isn't cheap. I'll know to use the other company the next time.Just disappointed.

About all I can say is they came on time, they were a good price and they fit. Will keep buying I just put it in so I assume they work, as stated its only been a week.

Filter buy FC40R1029 is not a direct replacement for the original

Filter buy FC40R1029 replacement does not fit in the housing that holds my original Honeywell FC40R1029. The difference in depth (5" vs 3") is not an issue nor is the exterior 20x30 frame lip; however the smaller frame is about 1/4 longer than my original Honeywell filter and will not fit into the filter housing without modification of the housing. (My Honeywell filter fits snuggly but does fit; the filterbuy replacement does not.

didn't fit. every other brand i've used at this size has been ok. the cost to me to return approaches what i paid. not even worth it. i'll never buy again.

These replacement filters fit my furnace. The listed dimensions are not exactly correct but the filters are made to the dimensions of the filter slot. Standard 20x25x5 filters do not fit.The Generalaire filters work perfectly but I don't like the fact that they are the only ones.
