Some pretext: I upgraded from a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. I decided to get the new Ultra this year because my old watch was starting to act up and didn't hold as much power as I'd like. This new watch has a stronger vibration and has slightly more functions compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The current battery seems to last about 2 to 2.5 days, which is a slight upgrade from my old watch. I prefer watches that have simple colors of black, white, or silver. There were no options for just black and white, and I absolutely dislike the orange in the watch which is found in all the watch styles. However, I typically buy a case and screen protector for my watches, so these are typically covered up anyways. You can only see it via the buttons on the side. Beyond that, I only saw two functions that stood out to me while upgrading to this watch. The first function was the one-handed gesture. This is a cool concept but since it is incredibly inconsistent, I turned off this function. Another functionality is the extended health monitoring system it now has. I would say this particular feature is interesting, but not necessary as i seldomly check it. I also don't know the accuracy of the extra health monitoring it has. I rarely used the more basic monitoring on my old watch.
The pros: This watch runs smoother and faster compared to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The watch has a stronger vibration feedback which is nice for alarms. Battery is slightly larger at 2 to 2.5 days before recharging.
The cons: For some reason, every style has the orange color in the buttons and/or bezel of the watch. If you love orange, this is perfect. If you hate it, then it's awful. One handed gesture feature is inconsistent and not useful at all. Typing on the watch is still difficult. Personally, I wish there were new features or something different after 2-3 years of upgrades.

Hey there Ken, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra. We value your candor as we strive to improve the functionality and performance of our product line. The Galaxy Watch Ultra offers a rugged titanium design, a brighter and larger 1.5-inch display, improved performance with a faster processor and more RAM/storage, and better outdoor features like dual-band GPS and a new "Action Button" for quick access to functions, compared to your Galaxy Watch5 Pro. It also includes new health features such as a multi-sport tile, better body composition analysis, and an energy score. If the gestures feature on your device is not working properly, please access your Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and dexterity > Universal Gestures. Also, practice deliberate, controlled movements of that specific gesture. Ensure that your device is being worn securely on the correct wrist and adjust its position to be one finger-width from your wrist bone. Speaking your text can help, if you feel like your onscreen keyboard feels too small. Feel free to check out the resources below to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your gestures feature and to help you become better acquainted with your new features. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterward if you would like any further assistance. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

I was stuck between getting the Watch 8 Classic and this one but I'm glad I picked this one. The best watch out! The titanium blue is an elite color too
Watch is awesome but the band (where the pin goes through to connect it) broke on day 2! As much as we pay for this gear, we shouldn't be dealing with a broken band.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never been a watch person—let alone a smartwatch person, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra completely won me over:
• Health insights that matter. After some recent medical diagnoses, I needed to be more intentional about activity, diet, and sleep (but with ease of access). Paired with the Samsung Health app, the watch uses Galaxy AI to give me daily readiness scores and personalized analysis. It’s like having a coach on my wrist, helping me track progress and stay on top of my unique needs. It also has general helpful reminders, and awesome integration with other health apps.
• Unmatched customization - From watch faces to button functions to vibration patterns, I can fine-tune nearly every detail. It feels less like a gadget and more like my watch. Sometimes I like to be notified for every notification and other times, I don't and this watch makes making those changes easy.
• Powerful health monitoring. I especially appreciate the sleep tracking and blood oxygen monitoring. While it’s absolutely not a substitute for medical care, it helps me notice patterns and share better information with my doctor, which is invaluable.
• Style and comfort. Beyond the features, it’s simply comfortable and sleek. I get compliments on it all the time.
• Talk about battery life - 3 or 4 days on one charge and then it can recharge in roughly 1-2 hours.
For someone who never thought they’d wear a smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch Ultra has become one of my favorite everyday essentials.
Coming from the standard 2024 Galaxy watch, I think th Ultra 2025 is a nice upgrade. Looks better, larger screen, health apps seem slightly more accurate. Not revolutionary, but a good ourchase
