Very quiet and powerful

We have a mobile dog grooming business and it works great and powers all of our equipment. Only complaint whomever put the oil filter on at the factory had it so tight I had to destroy the filter to change it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit, Easy to operate and service

Bought this June of 2024 and used it for 9 days straight during the Hurricane that hit Houston. I was able to run my complete home.I have used it several times since for a few hours due to power loss. I run on propane mainly and also on gas. I like it so much I also bought the 11,000 due fuel inverter unit as a back up if needed.

Best ive ever had

I purchased the xp 16000 ih and i have 90 hours on it. Im building my own house and i couldnt do it without! Superb quality. When the house is done im gonna build a little shed for it and connect it to my breaker panel for emergency use. I love this thing!

High quality generator, but consult an electrician

Paired this up with a MicroAir Soft Start on my 4 ton AC and can easily power the whole house via a power inlet box and interlock kit.
You may want to consult an electrician though, as these generators come with a neutral/ground bond which would not be in compliance with section 250 of the NEC if you use it as a whole house generator (there should be only a single bonded neutral/ground in a system, and you will already have one at your main panel). You do want to have a bonded neutral if you are using this as a portable generator powering devices via an extension cord, but for a whole house feeding solution you could end up with objectionable current during a ground fault unless you float the neutral.
Converting the unit to have a floating neutral is a bit more complicated than on other generators. There isn't a simple jumper connecting neutral to ground, instead there's a common bus bar where all the neutrals and grounds connect.
Anyway, consult a licensed electrician if you are going to make modifications to the generator, but overall this thing is amazing. It's whisper quiet when in low idle mode, the battery tender is great so that you don't have to constantly remember to disconnect the neutral from the battery, and it's obvious when you take it apart that the build quality is tremendously high. Also, given that it's an inverter generator, gas under light to medium loads will probably last as long as a traditional generator of half the size which is pretty incredible.
