Love this breadmaker! A real workhorse! I do wish the screen would tilt for easier viewing. Also the top of my bread still does not get as brown as the sides and bottom.

In regards to the browning of the top of the loaf, we would highly recommend using a digital kitchen scale to weigh the flour. Having the right ratio of wet to dry ingredients will allow the dough to rise better and bake more evenly on the top of the loaf. Fantastic Bread, Limited Gluten-Free Options

I absolutely love how well the Zojirushi bread maker performs overall—it consistently produces bakery-quality bread with a perfect crust and texture. The machine is sturdy, reliable, and easy to clean. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because the gluten-free options are quite limited. While it does have a basic gluten-free setting, there’s very little guidance provided on how to adjust recipes or convert flours if you’re using almond flour, gluten-free blends, or other alternatives. As someone who needs to bake gluten-free regularly, I wish Zojirushi offered more support in this area—either through presets or recipe guides. That said, if you’re baking traditional breads, it’s truly one of the best machines out there.

I had a very old Zojirushi breadmaker that was not working as well as it used to. I thought that I was upgrading with this machine. It definitely has more functions but my bread is still not up to par. I've only made two loaves and I hope that I can keep tweaking the recipes to find what will work well.

I started making homemade sourdough bread November '24. While I love it, I didn't love the effort and babysitting required. This was recommended as a way to enjoy sourdough more easily, so I got it even though the price tag made me hesitant. I have a LOT left to learn (I want to get towards whole wheat w/o sugar sourdough), but I am blown away by how impressive this machine is. No regrets!
